| Responsibilities: | ||
| Lead the employees of the Shanghai coatings lab (technical market managers, technical staff) and coordinate the activities of other technical coatings units in Asia, for instance in Japan. Manage, motivate, and develop employees; Visit existing and prospective customers regularly and provide superior application service. Design customer specific solutions; Develop test methods for regional customer requirements. Organize application testing of production samples and competitive products. Establish and efficiently use relations to technical associations, standardization committees, government authorities, and consultants in the region. Identify and document technical trends and market potentials; Compile technical market information to market surveys and customer profiles. Observe and communicate activities of competitors and recommend countermeasures; Train regional sales people, distributors, and traders. Cooperate efficiently with sales and marketing colleagues in order to promote value-added sales. Cooperate with marketing and fp-sc-at/cp in hanau-wolfgang in developing strategies, concepts and their implementation in the region. Resolve customer complaints by analysis of the technical origin and help to minimize financial impact. |

| Requirements: | ||
| University degree in chemistry or chemical engineering. Excellent knowledge of the regional coatings industry and its requirements. At least 8+ years of technical product expertise including 5 years management experience. Experience in efficiently dealing with customers. Excellent scientific, managerial, interpersonal and presentation capabilities. Very good English skills. |
